I think that there is an ERASMUS language, so I would like to share it with you.
This is a list of words or questions or expressions that each erasmus student said at least once: 'Where are you from?', 'Drunk', ' Are you here for one or two semester?', 'When did you arrive in Glasgow?', 'Where do you live?', 'What are doing tonight', 'Are you going to the international meeting?', 'Ich bien Scnappi' and of course 'See you'.
I think I fogot a lot of expressions but if you have any ideas, do not hesitate to let me know, I will add it.

What is an international meeting?
As the name says, it a big meeting with students of the world. Actually, this meeting is organised by Jim Wilson who is reponsible of exchange students. Every wednesdays, Jim sends an e mail to everybody in which there is the name of a pub in Glasgow and some useful things like "Room to let", "Flatmate wanted" or some evenements etc.
So each wednesday, we can discover a new pub, sometimes is very cheap and sometimes is quite expansive. Usually I notice that when the pub is very big or very well decorated, prices of drink are very high. I think that we pay decoration...
For information, the price of a pint of beer can vary between 1 pound (about 1.5 euros) to 2.5 pounds (about 3.3 euros).
During these meetings, you can meet some people from all countries, could you imagine I met a guy from Estonia.... These evenings are melting pot of different cultures. |

If you are interested in the fashion, you would probably want to know: "What is the last trend in Glasgow?"
I did not noticed the fashion for boys but for girls, believe me, it is impossible not to see it.
Scottish girls like having hair of different colours: I called this "Chocolate/Vanilla": they have blond top hairs and the rest is black or plum ("prune" in french). It is very strange and hummm... special.
Seconldy they like very short top with which you can see a big part of their breast. It is not always very sexy...
Then you can find on scottish girls a large belt which is useless.
They like very short short skirts. All scottish girls have the same type of skirt: mini skirt in jean and sometimes with holes.
With shirts, they have black tights with checks ("carreaux" in french).
And the best is for the end: their shoes, they have a sort of hairy boots black, white or pink. It is strange.
By this description, I think you can easily imagine a scottish girl...

On the 12th of February, I had the chance to go to the famous rugby stadium: Murrayfield in Edinbugh.
This stadium lies in the west of the city of Edinburgh. It was opened for the first time in 1925. Nowadays it has a seating capacity of 67 500 persons.
The match I saw was during the six nations competition 2005: Scotland Ireland. The score was 13 - 40.
The match was sold out, of course. Thanks to a french friends we manage to have our places for only 10 pounds (15 euros).
